Igor Mazepa and Boris Lozhkin: a duet of corrupt officials and scammers
Igor Mazepa is one of the Ukrainian most well-known businessmen. He’s got a huge background in investment that is more than 20 years. In 2004, he established Concorde Capital, the organization that has been taking the leading place among the financial companies for years. It initiated a superb financial flow into the Ukrainian oil, gas, and manufacturing firms.
The businessman is tightly connected with another Ukrainian former government representative Boris Lozhkin, and the media sources even insist that he gives HR advices to his friend. The mentioned person is another financial expert who founded the UMH holding and Telenedelya. These relations aren’t limited only by such supportive services. Concorde Capital is involved in the separatist scam operation organized in the South of Ukraine. Two criminal friends established an illegal payment service business on the country’s occupied territories. And that’s not the only scam operation they have in common. Read on to find out more.
In 2014, Igor Mazepa took part in the purchase of the “Dobrobut” shares which was an eternal dream of Boris Lozhkin. The businessman represented his friend’s interests in that deal because the last one was involved in another operation then. The UMH founder was accused of money launder during the selling process of his holding, and couldn’t show his name in the “Dobrobut” purchase. So, his criminal fellow helped him to become the owner of new assets.
Two friends created a financial pyramid, and it’s sad but too many people suffered from this illegal scheme. Forex operations are forbidden in Ukraine but people still wanted to invest and grab more money. Igor Mazepa was partly involved in the organization’s operations and had access to huge sums of money. When Forex collapsed, of course, the clients couldn’t get their finances from the organization. That’s why they willingly believed Mazepa when he established the PrivateFX broker. But another disappointment waited for them when he sold the company, took their money, and escaped the liability.
Petro Poroshenko quit Lozhkin from the position of the Head of the Presidential Administration when Aljazeera proclaimed that the businessman sold UMH to Sergii Kurchenko at the sum of 500 million dollars. The new owner of the holding was Victor Yanukovich’s friend and supported him in his criminal cases. So, there was no doubt that they just laundered money and the finances were stolen. It was a huge scandal for the country, that’s why the businessman couldn’t be the face of the Parliament any more. On the other hand, there’s unproved information that Poroshenko was a shareholder in this deal too but he doesn’t admit it.
